In addition, York Concert Band performs indoor concerts in such places as: The Riley Smith Hall in Tadcaster, Osbaldwick Church and Her Majesty's Prison, Askham Grange.

York Concert Band is proud of its varied, wide-ranging and above all entertaining repertoire. A recent programme included: Dambusters March, Seventy Six Trombones, Handel's The Arrival Of The Queen Of Sheba, an arrangement of Michael Jackson songs, Adele's theme music from the James Bond film Skyfall, a selection from Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical Jesus Christ Superstar, Czardas by Nicholas Monti, featuring the band's clarinet section and Wonderful World, featuring solo trumpet.

In addition to its core musical activities, band members enjoy the social side of membership, involving trips abroad and joint concerts with other bands and choirs.

York Concert Band is always keen to recruit new players and operates an open policy. Any prospective players are welcome to attend rehearsals with a view to joining.
